As debut authors, we are looking forward to building a fan base. The following Amazon.com services are available to help you buy, borrow, read, or share ebooks.
You Don’t Need to Own a Kindle Device to Enjoy Kindle Books
Buy a Kindle book once, and read it on any device. Download one of Amazon’s free Kindle apps to start reading Kindle books on all your devices. The Kindle app is available for every major smartphone, tablet, and computer.
Borrow Books from the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library
If you have a Kindle device and one of the following memberships (Amazon Prime, Amazon Student, Prime 30-day free trial, a free month of Prime benefits with a Kindle Fire device), the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library is available to you. The Lending Library features over 350,000 titles, including Orion Connection and Yo Ho Ho and a Very Merry Christmas. Books borrowed from the Lending Library have no due date and can be delivered to other Kindle devices registered to your Amazon account.
Accessibility Features on Kindle
Newer Kindle devices and some Kindle reading apps offer accessibility features that enable you to read books aloud character-by-character, word-by-word, or continuously, as well as move forward or backward in the text, look up words in the dictionary or Wikipedia, change the font, text size, background color, margin, brightness, and more.
Lend or Borrow Kindle Books
You can lend a Kindle book that you purchased at Amazon.com to another reader for up to 14 days. Each book may be lent once and will not be readable by you during the loan period. The borrower does not need to own a Kindle device and can read the book after downloading a free Kindle reading app.
